Description

The Customer Service/Software Support employee provides assistance and training to customers via phone, email or remote assistance. This is a help desk position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general application support to customers.
  • Assist users with installation of custom programs.
  • Provide assistance and basic training to clients in the use of custom desktop and web applications.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for application problems.
  • Create, close and organize support tickets for every support request.
  • Perform light data entry duties related to support.

Requirements

  • Friendly attitude and genuine desire to help customers.
  • Experience with troubleshooting computer and software issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to promptly answer support related phone calls and email.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently to meet customer needs.
  • Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized.
  • Typing proficiency: 40-60 wpm preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use and troubleshooting of all recent Windows operating systems.
  • Ideal candidate should have 1 year customer support experience.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Preference given to candidates with related certificates or degrees.
